The Contract

The Client will be sent a contract that will include details of the event, services booked, and terms and conditions. The deposit must be paid at the time of the contract signing to guarantee reservation of date. 

Security Deposit & Balances

A non-refundable 25% retainer is required to secure and reserve the date and time of the wedding/event; booking a trial date does not secure the wedding/event date until a retainer is received and has cleared. If there are any additional individuals or services required or requested after your original booking and deposits have been made, a further deposit will be required unless otherwise discussed with Beyond the Brush - Margarita Lacuna.

All balances are due 7 days prior the wedding date unless an alternate arrangement has been made with Beyond the Brush- Margarita Lacuna. Balance for trial runs is due on the date of the appointment unless payment will be made via email money transfer.

Change of Services

Once the contract is signed by the client and security deposit has been given, the number of services booked is final. The makeup services are transferable to another person on that day but the number of services booked cannot be withdrawn once confirmed.

If for any reason the makeup artist cancels at any time or is unable to perform her duties, 100% of the payment will be refunded by cheque. 

Refunds & Cancellations

All deposits and payments towards trial runs are non-refundable. Monetary refund is also not available for any completed services.

Any cancellations that occur 120 days before the wedding/event will not be subject to a further payment of the balance owing and the client can cancel their wedding/event without penalty. For any cancellations that occur within 120 days of the wedding/event date, a 50% cancellation fee will be required. The 50% is based on the balance owing for the wedding/event day.

Beauty services: Any cancellations that occur less than 24 hours of the service date, a $50 cancellation fee will be required.


If you are more than 15 minutes late for your appointment, it may be cancelled and a late fee of $50.00 will be applied to the final bill. A missed trial appointment will be subjected to a $75 fee upon re-booking. 

Client Preparation 

Client acknowledges and agrees that she or he and others receiving services must have clean, moisturized skin prior to makeup application. Client shall disclose the existence of any allergies, medications that may affect the application of makeup products, or any other condition of any person receiving services. If Client fails to make such a disclosure, no refunds will be provided for work unable to be performed because of these conditions.

Beyond the Brush reserve the right to refuse services if unsanitary conditions exist and/or contagious infections are present. The artist(s) will NOT provide services where any contagious infections such as pink eye (conjunctivitis) or cold sores/fever blisters are present and there shall be no refund of any deposit paid.

Whole Day Service Package

Whole day package is based on an 8 hour day. The Artist must be provided a one 30 mins lunch break and two 15 mins break. The Client is responsible for any delays that might effect time of productivity. An overtime fee of $100 per hour will apply if services run beyond stated end time in the contract.

Travel Fees

There are no extra travel charges within the City of Toronto. A travel fee will apply if services is required outside the City of Toronto & York Region (Richmond Hill and Markham). Any location more than 2 hours away may need to have accommodations provided. Parking and accommodation fee will apply.
